The Bible mentions or refers to the “fatherless, widows, and strangers” over sixty times! There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that God’s heart aches for these three types of His children. Therefore, it is FAMILIES. BY GOD.’s mission to care for the fatherless, widows and strangers in three distinct ways:
Adoption and Foster Care
In obedience to the Lord’s command to “care for the fatherless and widows” (James 1:27), FAMILIES.BY GOD. is committed to praying for, recruiting, encouraging, and supporting Christians to serve as foster and adoptive parents for the thousands of fatherless here in the United States and literally millions abroad.
Building A Defense
Finally, we are determined to re-establish the Body of Christ – The Church – as central service provider to the fatherless, widows and strangers. Although many of these families have become reliant on government programs to meet their needs, that isn’t government’s job: it’s the Church’s. Families.By God. is dedicated to assisting Christians in regaining that attitude.
